David comes to Aspect with over 10 years of experience of experience in the AEC industry. The bulk of David’s experience lies in structural design and consulting but has recently expanded into temporary works and demolition. David graduated with a master’s degree in civil engineering from City University, London, UK, and began his engineering career working in central London.
Whilst working in in London David gained significant experience with the design of a wide variety of buildings including high-end custom homes, schools and mixed-use buildings. In addition to new build structures, he is highly experienced in the area of change of use and the structural renovation of historically sensitive buildings.
David’s family life brought him to Vancouver, BC in the fall of 2016 where he began his Canadian career working in specialty structural engineering, temporary works and demolition. David joined Aspect early 2018 and brings his wealth of structural knowledge and practical design focused experience. He is a member of the SEABC, EGBC, IStructE and ICE.
Outside of work David volunteers through his church and has recently used his assorted skills to help building a number of churches across Africa. He is a keen DIY’er and general tinkerer of stuff, so usually has a carpentry or design related project on the go.
