Junior Engineer | M.Eng
Cyclist, Paddler, Foodie, Sailor-in-training, Martial Artist.
Gian Carlo studied Civil Structural Engineering at the University of Cagliari and Wrocław Science and Technology. Immediately after graduating he started his career as a software engineer and worked in Italy for a few years, then he made the big jump to live and work in London. There he had the chance to meet wonderful people and work in a stimulating environment where he brought his mass timber knowledge to the next level.
He likes to design hybrid structures and he pursues the mission of designing buildings with a small CO2 footprint. He has been passionate about sustainable construction since he was a student, when he fell in love specifically with the timber industry. His portfolio of delivered mass timber structures includes single family homes, student accommodations, exhibition centers and schools. He is super excited to join the Aspect team and is looking forward to designing innovative structures and increasing his engineering knowledge.
Now relocated to Switzerland, Gian Carlo enjoys outdoor sports, particularly exploring new places with his mountain bike, paddling in a kayak, and of course, he likes cooking Italian foods.
