Project Engineer | P.Eng., M.S., PE
Inquisitor, mountain-man, aspiring auto mechanic, designer
Kyle has over 4 years of structural design engineering experience with projects in Canada, U.S, and China with their respective design codes. Timber engineering and parametric/optimization design tool development are a niche specialty of his in addition to designing various building typologies such as custom homes, schools, low/mid-rise residential and mixed-use, and architecturally expressive roof structures with timber.
Kyle spent his three years prior to Aspect at a timber design-build company that provided him insight into fabrication and design from a builders’ viewpoint. Prior, Kyle completed a Master’s Degree at Oregon State University, writing an experiment-based thesis on Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) diaphragm connections.
Working on his truck, mountain biking, cooking plant-based meals, ski touring, and trail running are a few activities Kyle chooses to partake in outside of work hours.
