New Haven, Connecticut
Located in the Dixwell neighborhood, this mixed-use rental development consists of two, four-storey buildings with 70 units each. Both buildings were constructed using cross-laminated timber (CLT) walls and floors, along with glulam post and beam and steel elements on the ground level. A CLT honeycomb bearing system will be utilized to expose a significant number of walls and ceilings, providing a durable, energy-efficient, healthy, and visually pleasing living experience. The development is designed to comply with Passive House standards.
ASPECT is providing Design Assist, Mass Timber Specialty Engineering, and Fabrication Design services for this project.
