619 Ponce

Atlanta, Georgia

The 619 Ponce project is a four-story mass timber office building located at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Georgia, and includes approximately 87,000 sq.ft. of office space over three floors, and 27,000 sq.ft. of retail space at ground level. The design and sourcing process illustrates the value of efficient design and use of locally sourced materials, and redefined how we can think about engaging local suppliers. ASPECT was engaged early in the design process by the owner, Jamestown, in a design assist capacity. We supported Jamestown and the design team in understanding the general mass timber supply chain and key players, helped establish connections within the supply chain to evaluate the potential of lamstock used in the CLT and Glulam members coming from their own Georgia-based forests, and supported the design team in mass timber framing and detailing concepts to address the project-specific need for cost efficient yet flexible design to allow future tenant fit outs.
