Border Terrier Enthusiast, Amateur Boat Mechanic, Challenge Seeker
Andrew grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has always been fascinated by Canadian architecture and the built environment — not just on the technical side, but how structures meet the needs of the people who use them. His passion for the AEC industry was driven by a desire to understand the challenges associated with bringing ideas from the drawing board into a reality.
With a Bachelor of Engineering Science from the University of Western Ontario, Andrew has spent more than a decade in the engineering industry, working with various materials, including wood, concrete, and steel. He took a three-year “sabbatical” to work as a site superintendent for a large development project in Vancouver, and now returns to engineering with a well-rounded perspective of practical constructability. Andrew continues to work towards solutions that balance practicality and innovation, aiming to make a lasting impact on each of his projects.
Andrew loves spending time in the great outdoors and when he’s not at work, you’ll probably find him restoring his vintage boat in Stanley Park or enjoying a quiet hike with his partner, Liz, and their Border Terrier, Arnie. Whether it’s tinkering with mechanical repairs, exploring nature, or designing innovative structural solutions Andrew is always looking for new challenges to test his limits.
