Project Engineer | M.Eng., E.I.T.
Enginnerd, crafter, aficionado of interesting buildings and striking architecture, hockey enthusiast, adventurer, Sudoku expert
After completing his undergraduate civil engineering degree in the spring of 2016, Brendan started working for a municipal engineering firm based in Edmonton, AB. There he performed various design, inspection, and contract administration duties, mostly working outside the city in small communities scattered across the province. After two years, fate pulled him and his wife away from the great Albertan Capital across the border to the small northern metropolis of Prince George, BC. There he completed his Masters of Engineering in Integrated Wood Design at the University of Northern British Columbia, during which he developed a passion for engineered wood and the design of beautiful mass timber structures. Soon after the completion of his Masters degree, Brendan and his wife took the plunge and moved down to the bustling Lower Mainland where he landed a job at Vancouver’s most sought after structural engineering firm, Aspect! During his tenure with Aspect Structural Engineers, it is his dream to one day put his stamp on Canada’s next tallest wood building.
In his spare time, Brendan enjoys snowboarding, cycling, kayaking, watching hockey (go Oilers!), juggling, crafting driftwood sculptures, woodworking (you should see his coffee table), and long walks on the beach (seriously, he lives near English Bay and the beach walks there are out of this world!)
