Vanderhoof, BC
A new 25,000 sq.ft., single-storey Family Healing Centre, which will provide cultural-based healing and addictions treatment for First Nation communities in Northern BC. The centre will include 4 buildings connected by covered walkways and shared patio spaces, plus a detached detox building. The structures will be comprised of typical light wood frame walls on conventional spread foundations, and the roof structures will be comprised of wood trusses, with some areas exposed. Due to the location on Lake Tachick, retaining structures are also required to work with the natural slope of the site as it approaches the lake.
