Whistler, BC
A new residence over three levels, including garage and storage. Consisting of a mix of cast-in-place concrete, steel, and conventional and engineered woodframe construction. Doubleheight exterior steel columns mimic the surrounding forest, with column connections to the interior steel members being thermally broken. The interior includes a unique feature staircase with a thin steel plate stringer that also acts as a guardrail.
