Engineering Intern | 4th Year Civil Engineering Student, UBC
Cyclist, amateur woodworker, puzzle enthusiast, Seahawks fan
Born and raised in Abbotsford, BC, Jayden has always been fascinated by the built world and the inner workings of how structures are created. Moving to Vancouver to pursue a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia, he felt an admiration for structural design and sustainable construction methods.
A 4th year student, Jayden has completed several co-op positions at local firms, in the areas of building restoration and structural restoration. These experiences provided an appreciation for problem solving, project management, and the value of collaboration. After being introduced to the exciting world of mass timber at UBC, Jayden jumped at the opportunity to join Aspect as a structural engineering intern in 2022. He is excited to practice his skills and pursue knowledge in a field that puts sustainability at the forefront of design.
Outside of the office, Jayden spends most of his time on his road bike, exploring the abundance of beautiful rides around the city. In 2019, he joined his family on a cross Canada bike trip with the opportunity to see the country at a (much) slower pace. Additionally, he loves to experiment with woodworking or dive into a puzzle.
