Engineering Intern | 4th Year Civil Engineering Student, University of Victoria
Board Game Fanatic, Amateur Potter, 28 Handicap Golfer, Balkan Brass Trombonist
Jonah is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Victoria.
His push towards a structural engineering and building science field stemmed from a desire to understand how things are constructed, and why they exist in the built world (think podcasts such as 99 Percent Invisible, or “The Design of Everyday Things” written by Don Norman). Jonah has done multiple co-ops in construction management, building science and structural prior to this current work term with Aspect. Ultimately what drove him to Aspect was a desire to work for a specialized structural consultancy in a seismic and moisture-ladened part of the world.
Outside of work Jonah enjoys being active by walking, hiking (inclined walking), running (fast walking), cycling (walking on a bike) and golfing (angry walking). Jonah also unwinds by taking community center pottery classes, so he’s probably friends with your parents…or your 60+ year old auntie.
