Marta grew up in the Lower Mainland and graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree and a major in Accounting. You could say that this path was a logical choice as she was a talented number cruncher at an early age. After a couple years of working within the accounting industry for some smaller businesses, she decided to pursue her Certified Management Accountant designation as it married her interests of strategy, analysis and of course, numbers. She then progressed her career working within a variety of companies and industries – ranging from financial services, not-for-profit, to retail. Throughout that time, she gained a reputation of being a creative problem solver and individual who does not stop until she has the answer. Always pushing the status quo, she finds more efficient ways of doing things which is how she initially landed a role with Aspect; being brought on with the mandate to improve systems and develop tools for greater visibility.
In her free time, she loves travelling, trying new restaurants and being anywhere on or around water. She loves learning and trying new things and has recently learned how to ski and has taken up tennis.
