Skier, traveler, spreadsheet nerd, animal fanatic
Meike graduated from the University of Victoria in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Prior to graduating, Meike completed several internships including at ASPECT in 2018 as their first co-op student ever! She also worked in the technical sales department at a CLT and Glulam manufacturing company. During this time, she helped to create design guides and tools for engineers and architects highlighting the many benefits of mass timber in terms of prefabrication, fire and acoustic performance, architectural freedom, and environmental impact.
Meike has a keen interest in sustainable and effective design and is excited to be part of the Aspect team! So far at Aspect, she has worked on a variety of projects including light wood frame and mass timber custom homes, architectural stairs, renovation projects, and providing construction engineering services for mass timber installers.
During her free time Meike enjoys downhill skiing, hiking, exploring, and spending time with her crazy chickens.
