Salmon Arm, BC
This new-build, four-storey student housing building provides 60 beds of student accommodation, a fitness facility, and other community programming. The structure is comprised of light wood frame construction with some feature elements incorporating mass timber. The project will be meeting the requirements of BC Energy Step Code – Level 4.
This student housing development is one of three student residences that follow a consistent systems design. The ASPECT project team is engaged as the structural Engineer of Record and Fabrication designer for all three buildings, and designed standard layouts for the Vernon, Salmon Arm, and Penticton campuses as most unit types are single or quad dorm styles.
