Rachel’s post-secondary education began in her hometown of Ottawa, ON where she graduated in 2017 with honours from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering. With an interest in preparing for and helping to rebuild after natural disasters, she moved to Vancouver, BC to pursue a Master of Engineering at the University of British Columbia, specializing in Structural and Earthquake Engineering.
After graduating from UBC in 2019, Rachel worked for 3 years on forestry and power-generation projects where she learned to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects from concept to completion. She loved that her work took her to various local and remote parts of the province to observe construction progress and watch her designs come to life! In this new chapter of her career, she is excited to be part of the incredibly talented Aspect team and work with new building materials and engineering concepts to expand her knowledge and skillset.
In her spare time, Rachel loves to stay active with a variety of sports (cycling, skiing, ringette, volleyball, rollerblading, mountain biking, hiking… the list goes on!), host themed dinner parties with friends, and read books at the beach.
