Fabrication Design Technician
Detail Detective, Running Enthusiast
Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Rachel Wagner developed an early appreciation for architecture, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design. She completed her degree in Architecture and Urban Planning in São Paulo before moving to France to pursue a Master’s in Architecture, Timber and Construction. Along the way, she lived in Lyon, Épinal, and Paris, expanding both her technical expertise and international perspective on timber design and fabrication.
Since entering the industry in 2016, Rachel has specialized in fabrication design for timber structures, developing highly detailed 3D models and production drawings that bridge design intent with real-world construction. She is particularly passionate about creating models that reflect exactly how a structure will be assembled on site, carefully considering sequencing, connection details, and the experience of installers to make construction as efficient and intuitive as possible. She also has a deep appreciation for timber species and the unique characteristics each material brings to a project.
Before joining ASPECT, Rachel worked on a diverse range of advanced timber projects across Brazil, the UK, and India. One standout milestone was contributing to the renovation of the Natural History Museum Garden in London, where she worked as the timber fabrication designer for two new timber building additions.
Outside of work, Rachel can usually be found running, hunting down great Korean food, or planning hypothetical trips to Mount Fuji.
