Vancouver, BC
Two new educational facilities that will be used by BCIT’s Carpentry and Trades programs. Both buildings will provide comprehensive spaces that support academic classrooms as well as hands-on workshops, integrating both interior and exterior teaching areas. The first facility, the RBC Pavilion, will showcase the use of engineered wood and innovative engineering techniques.
The second facility, the MMT Pavilion will be an outdoor covered space equipped with an industrial gantry crane and will feature a combination of engineered wood and steel elements. Both facilities will prioritize visibility and accessibility of building connections and structural and mechanical systems, providing students and visitors opportunities for interactive learning.
