Engineering Intern | 4th Year Civil Engineering Student, University of Waterloo
Foodie, amateur baker, tea and movie lover
Saranya is a 4th year student in the University of Waterloo’s Civil Engineering Program. She has always had a strong interest in the built environment as well as the desire to apply her problem solving and critical thinking skills to real world problems. An achievement she is proud of was becoming a TDSB Top Scholar when graduating high school.
Her previous experiences include two on-site construction experiences where she was involved in field engineering, project coordination and QA/QC. Her last co-op experience was with the Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority for the Gordie Howe International Bridge Project where she assisted in reviewing technical submittals in accordance with relevant codes and standards. During study terms, she also works as an Engineering Ambassador, giving tours and support to incoming students.
Saranya looks forward to gaining exposure to the engineering design, analysis, research and development process and making meaningful contributions with the Aspect team.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading on the beach, painting, baking and trying out new restaurants with friends.
