Director of Marketing and Communications
Super-Mom, Vintage Cookbook Collector, Aspiring HGTV Guest Star, Strategic Storyteller
With more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience, Shannon brings a strategic, creative, and detail-driven approach to everything she does. Using her background in journalism and her post-grad degree in Corporate Communications from Sheridan College, she has spent much of her career helping companies in the architecture, engineering, and construction sector tell their stories with clarity and purpose.
Before joining ASPECT, Shannon led communications for a high-profile municipal planning initiative on a complex and sensitive public engagement project that sharpened her skills in crisis management and cross-sector collaboration. The experience solidified her love for balancing strategic messaging with genuine community connection.
Shannon was drawn to ASPECT because of the values-led team that “walks the talk”, and the refreshing number of women in leadership roles. She’s excited to join the team and pull from her expertise in brand strategy, proposals, events, and storytelling to lead a MarCom team that shares her drive for meaningful work.
Outside of the office, Shannon spends her weekends outside with her family, in the kitchen baking and cooking using her vintage cookbook collection, or casually rearranging her living room furniture (every Thursday night, like clockwork). A firm believer in fresh perspectives, whether it’s how you frame a message or angle a couch, she’s always looking for the next creative challenge.
