Sophia Fox

BIM Manager
Problem-solver, Certified cake boss, Giver of guidance

Sophia’s journey into the industry began with her involvement in construction, excavation, and working on roadways during early adulthood. She found a passion for highly detailed work and found herself transitioning into drafting for civil and structural engineering. This is where she fell in love with how concrete (pun intended) structural engineering can be. Sophia attributes her experience and determination to her mentors, who were patient and thorough in showing her the ropes of BIM design. She’s embraced the role of junior drafter, building and maintaining BIM procedures and standards, soon stepping up into a mentorship role herself. Sophia was asked to share her passion and learnings of BIM design and educate others at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Joining ASPECT in 2024, Sophia displays her extensive BIM skills and deep understanding of building processes.
Sophia’s attention to detail goes far beyond her job. In her spare time, she loves to bake — she’s been baking cakes, cupcakes, and other delicious morsels for the past seven years! Known for her willpower, she graciously shares these treats rather than keeping them to herself, much to the delight of our Vancouver office. Sophia’s passions shine through her active involvement in social committees and DEI initiatives.
