A new-build, eight-storey mixed-use student housing development for the University of Michigan. This residential building includes a concrete podium on the first floor intended for parking and commercial use. The remaining seven-storeys are dedicated to residential use, and are comprised of mass timber. The building is designed to house a total of 250 units, ranging from studios to one or two-bedroom apartments.
The project also features a publicly-accessible outdoor green roof.

ASPECT is the structural Engineer of Record for this project. The building is supported by conventional shallow concrete foundations and the lateral resisting system will be either CMU or pre-cast shear walls. The project is designed to WELL building standards and is fully-electric.
