Southtown – 1601 S. State St.

A new 8-story mixed-use development that includes a concrete podium on the first floor intended for parking and commercial use, with the remaining 7 storeys dedicated to residential constructed with mass timber. The building will house a total of 250 units, ranging from studios to one or two-bedroom apartments. The project also features a publicly-accessible outdoor green roof. The building will be supported by conventional shallow concrete foundations and the lateral resisting system will be either CMU or pre-cast shear walls. The project will follow WELL building standards and be fully-electrified.
