Tolmie Residence

This contemporary, 3-storey, single-family residence in Vancouver contains light wood frame and steel elements in the upper levels while concrete suspended slabs and walls were used on the basement and main levels. A 900 sq.ft. detached garage is built with light wood frame construction as well. The residence is heavily glazed in the front and rear facades and also features an occupiable green roof deck. The design includes a feature staircase comprised of thin steel stringers paired with a thin steel plate landing and a tensioned cable stair guard.
