Trisha is an incoming 4th Year Engineering Student at the University of British Columbia. She spent most of her life living in the Philippines and immigrated to Canada in 2016. She is interested in majoring in Structural Engineering with the hopes of helping developing countries improve the structural stability of their existing structures.
Currently, Trisha is the Co-President of the UBC CSCE Student Chapter and the Administration Lead of the UBC Steel Bridge Design Team. She likes being an active member of the engineering community. In 2022, as part of the UBC Steel Bridge team, Trisha participated in the ASCE Student Steel Bridge Competition and placed 14th out of more than 100 schools in North America. The team also participated in the Canadian National Steel Bridge Competition and won the Top Canadian Team Award placing 2nd overall. Trisha has a big passion for community involvement and deeply enjoys making great connections with the people she works with.
Trisha has had experience working on transportation projects with her previous co-op terms. She joined Aspect to expand her structural engineering knowledge, and she is looking forward to learning a lot, and to improving her engineering skills while with the company.
Trisha loves to make art in her free time. One of her goals is to be able to read sheet music effortlessly. She also likes playing chess and is currently in the process of beating Stockfish Level 4 in lichess.com.
