The Under Armour Teammate Building is a five-storey office building with auxiliary wings dedicated to a flagship retail store and high-end sports facilities. The track and field facility, multi-sport playing field, and basketball court provide a testing space for Under Armour’s innovation, product development, athlete performance, and sports marketing teams. Located on Under Armour’s landmark Port Covington campus, the building serves as the primary space for most of the company’s core business functions globally.
The structure is comprised of concrete foundation with mass timber superstructure (glulam post and beam frame with CLT floors). The building is designed to achieve a net-zero operation goal and qualify for LEED® Platinum Certification under LEED V4.0.
ASPECT is taking on various roles throughout the design and construction process. We were directly engaged by Binderholz in a Design Assist capacity, providing Mass Timber Specialty Engineering, including connection design work. In addition, as part of our Fabrication Design role, our team provided 3D fabrication modelling and shop drawings.
