Project Engineer | EIT, M.Sc.
Hiker, fair-weather climber, cat-dad, footballer (soccer-er)
Will studied mechanical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis and worked for a medical technology company in Massachusetts before moving across the United States to join his girlfriend (now wife) in Seattle. He got his start in the construction industry by working as a designer, drafter, and fabricator on projects ranging from zip lines to architectural metal sculptures. Will quickly found himself drawn to structural engineering, more specifically to the design of timber structures. He then enrolled in a master’s program in structural engineering at the University of Washington and joined an engineering firm in Seattle specializing in residential timber construction. In the summer of 2022, he and his wife had the chance to move to Switzerland for her job and they jumped at the opportunity. Will knew of Aspect from his time in the Pacific Northwest and when he heard they had a Swiss office specializing in timber, it felt like the stars had aligned! He is looking forward to expanding his knowledge of materials, structural systems, and design tools on a wider variety of project types.
When he’s not working you can find him exploring the nearby Alps on foot or skis, swimming in Lake Geneva, or generally enjoying the Swiss lifestyle.
